Painting ceilings.

Like in the old days, painting ceilings is a very hard job. Here is one that was done in a cafe. The cafe is called " 't hoeshalde van Jan Stein". The ceiling is 11m. x4m. and about 3,5m. high. The painting started with some elements of Raphael and combining this with dolphins, birds, falling people, and statues from Easterisland the ceiling looked very cosmic. Water and sky are painted near eachother seamless to enrich this cosmic feeling.
Painting this ceiling was a hard thing to do. We like to thank the Jan Stein-crew for their support during this project and Bastiaan Rutten for making the pictures on this site.
